On 20 November, Kilometro Rosso in Bergamo hosted the inaugural DIGI-ME Ecosystem event, marking the official launch of a European community dedicated to fostering the next generation of digital innovation leaders. The event brought together a carefully selected group of 25 prospective member organisations, including corporates, SMEs, science parks and institutions, setting the stage for a vibrant exchange of ideas and opportunities.
Central to the discussions was the urgent need for digitally savvy managers capable of guiding companies through the complexities of the digital transition. Participants explored how DIGI-ME’s advanced, hands-on educational programmes are designed to shape these profiles, ensuring that digital talent meets the real-world demands of today’s evolving business landscape. The event highlighted the Ecosystem’s unique role in bridging academia and the job market, making it a key driver for delivering essential skills directly to companies.

Attendees also explored six concrete benefits of joining the DIGI-ME Ecosystem:
- Access to new recruitment pathways – connecting organisations with highly trained digital talent.
- Upskilling opportunities for internal teams – empowering existing employees with the latest digital capabilities.
- Innovation challenges – fostering creative solutions through collaborative problem-solving.
- Co-creation of learning content with universities – shaping educational programmes that meet industry needs.
- High-value networking across sectors – enabling knowledge exchange and collaboration.
- Thought leadership within a European innovation community – positioning members at the forefront of digital transformation.
The first DIGI-ME Ecosystem event not only showcased these benefits but also underscored the community’s mission: to cultivate the skills, networks and mindset needed for Europe’s digital future.
With this successful launch, DIGI-ME takes its first step toward building a dynamic European network where education, innovation and industry converge to shape the digital leaders of tomorrow.
