The MIBE Welcome Day brought together students from all three MIBE programs for a special occasion dedicated to discovering the academic, international, and professional opportunities offered by the University of Pavia.
🎓 A Warm Welcome from the MIBE Program Director
The event began with an introduction by Professor Chiara Demartini, Head of the MIBE Program, who warmly welcomed students and provided an overview of the program, its academic structure, and the opportunities available throughout their university journey.
Her introduction highlighted the international dimension of MIBE, the importance of academic and professional growth, and the many possibilities students can explore during their studies.
🌍 MIBE International Opportunities
Going international is a key part of the MIBE experience!
Students were introduced to the different international mobility opportunities available, including spending a single semester abroad through Erasmus and pursuing a Double Degree at a partner university.
These experiences allow students to discover new academic environments, broaden their international perspectives, develop intercultural skills, and build valuable connections around the world.
🚀 DIGI-ME Opportunities & Triple Degree Programme
The event also introduced DIGI-ME, an innovative project designed to integrate digital skills into business, management, and entrepreneurship education.
Students discovered the wide range of opportunities offered by the project, including international seasonal schools, hackathons, digital courses, certifications, and internships within its international ecosystem.
A particular focus was placed on the DIGI-ME Triple Degree Programme, starting in the 2026/2027 academic year, which connects three institutions: University of Pavia, Grenoble Ecole de Management, University of Vaasa
This international pathway offers students the opportunity to study across three countries, experience different academic and cultural environments, and develop digital, entrepreneurial, and intercultural competencies.
The project also provides scholarship and mobility support opportunities for selected students.
🎯 DIGI-ME Personalization Journey
Another key topic was DIGI-ME’s innovative approach to personalized education, designed to create learning experiences that respond to students’ individual needs and professional ambitions.
The project combines self-assessment, biometric data, and wearable technologies, such as smartwatches used during course-related activities, to develop individual learner profiles.
These profiles help match students with mentors aligned with their professional goals, supporting more personalized academic and professional development.
Students were also introduced to the DIGI-ME Moodle platform, which provides access to digital courses, personalized learning paths, lifelong learning opportunities, and tools to monitor their learning progress.
📅 Events & University Life
The Welcome Day was also an opportunity to discover upcoming UNIPV events, initiatives, and activities, encouraging students to get involved in university life beyond the classroom.
From academic events to networking opportunities, students were introduced to different ways to connect with the university community, share experiences, and make the most of their time in Pavia.
📚 University Library Services
Students also received an introduction to the University of Pavia’s library system, discovering the services, study spaces, and academic resources available to support their studies.
The presentation offered useful insights into how to access library resources and take advantage of the tools provided by the university throughout their academic journey.
💙 More than just a welcome event, the MIBE Welcome Day was an opportunity to discover everything that the MIBE experience has to offer: international perspectives, innovative learning, professional development, and a community to grow with.
