On September 24, the University of Pavia officially opened the academic year 2025–2026 with the Opening Ceremony of the Master’s Programme in International Business and Economics (MIBE).
The event introduced incoming students to the programme and to the opportunities awaiting them as part of the MIBE community. Professors Chiara Demartini and Valentina Beretta presented the DIGI-ME project, highlighting how digital skills and innovative study paths will play a central role in the students’ academic journey.

The ceremony also featured insights from distinguished guest speakers, including Professor Federico Pigni (Grenoble Ecole de Management), Professor Sniazhana Diduc (University of Vaasa), Professor Enrico Cotta Ramusino, Professor Martin Messner (University of Innsbruck), Federico Bonelli, CEO of GRUPPO RES, Professor Charl de Villiers (University of Auckland), and MIBE Ambassador Grace O.A. Jayeola, who shared their expertise and inspired the audience.
The day concluded with a convivial aperitivo, giving new students the chance to connect, exchange experiences, and begin building their identity as “MIBERs.”
The Università di Pavia extends its best wishes for a successful year of growth, learning, and international opportunities.
The DIGI-ME project is co-funded by the European Union.
