An intense and inspiring week has just come to an end in Pavia, dedicated to exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and bringing together students, academics, and professionals from different countries and backgrounds.
✅ Organized by the University of Pavia within the DIGI-ME project, the Winter School opened with a highly topical focus: “Building an ML Model for Digital Anxiety: from Data Collection to Risk Prediction.”
The first day was devoted to understanding digital anxiety, a form of stress generated by constant connectivity, continuous notifications, FOMO, and information overload. Through a data-driven perspective, participants explored how AI and Machine Learning can be used to analyze this phenomenon, from data collection to risk prediction.
✅ Throughout the week, the program combined strategic perspectives on AI, healthcare, and international collaboration, insights from the world of innovation and product development, and in-depth methodological sessions. A significant part of the Winter School focused on Systematic Literature Reviews, highlighting the importance of a rigorous scientific mindset, different types of reviews, editorial strategies, and bibliometric analysis tools.
Hands-on group work and final presentations allowed participants to immediately apply what they had learned, effectively connecting theory, methodology, and practice.
This Winter School was above all an opportunity for exchange, growth, and discovery, made possible by the valuable contributions of the speakers, the enthusiasm of the students, and the dedication of the organizing team.
Thank you all for being part of this experience👏
