On February 4, 2025, Vaasa hosted the annual Talent Forum, a recruitment and career event jointly organized by Vaasa Region Development Company VASEK, Opiskelijan Vaasa – Vasa Studerande, and Expomark Oy. The event serves as a key meeting point for students and employers, presenting opportunities for internships, summer jobs, and post-graduation careers.
All regional higher education institutions participated, including the University of Vaasa, Åbo Akademi, Hanken School of Economics, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences, Novia University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Helsinki’s Vaasa Unit of Legal Studies. Local companies were also well-represented, offering students direct insight into professional pathways in the region.
The Digi-Me Vaasa project team, led by Sniazhana Diduc and Rumy Narayan, seized the opportunity to engage both students and employers in dialogue on the importance of digital skills and future competencies, reinforcing the project’s mission to strengthen the region’s talent base.
