On September 17, 2025, Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) hosted a new meeting as part of the European Digi-Me project, with partner companies in attendance. This milestone event showcased the project’s progress and shared its first results.
The GEM team presented the European framework of digital competencies for business managers, the outcome of collaborative work involving professors and economic stakeholders in France, Italy, and Finland. Based on the European Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DIGCOMP), the DIGI ME framework is aimed at current and future business managers to identify the essential digital skills they must acquire to carry out their missions of tomorrow.
This framework will now serve as a common foundation for programs and certifications designed for Business Managers at the three higher education institutions involved: Grenoble Ecole de Management (France), the University of Pavia (Italy), and the University of Vaasa (Finland).
The meeting was also an opportunity to work on creating the first Digital Ecosystem for Transformative Innovation (DETI) and to present various collaboration opportunities to interested companies through a platform offering:
- Access to talent trained for innovation in the context of companies’ digital transition,
- Skill development programs tailored to concrete needs,
- Co-creation of courses and certifications at a European level with the higher education institutions in the Digi-Me project,
- Greater visibility within a European network of innovative organizations.
By bringing together companies, professional associations, higher education institutions, and specialists, the Digi-Me project is fulfilling its mission: accelerating innovation, reducing the risks of digital transition, and strengthening European competitiveness.
