Over the course of several weeks, the Digi-Me Vaasa project team, led by Sniazhana Diduc and Rumy Narayan, conducted a series of interactive workshops with representatives from local companies to gather insights on the future of digital skills and competencies.
The discussions emphasized several priority areas for the workforce of tomorrow, including data literacy and analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital collaboration, and sustainable technology solutions. Company representatives also highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and cross-disciplinary problem-solving as essential skills in increasingly digitalized industries.
By creating a sustained forum for dialogue, the workshops allowed business leaders and experts to share perspectives on emerging digital demands and workforce readiness. The insights collected will directly support Digi-Me’s mission to bridge the gap between education and working life, ensuring that students and graduates are equipped with the competencies most valued by employers.
Through this multi-week engagement, Digi-Me has strengthened the connection between academic learning and practical industry needs, fostering collaboration that benefits the entire Vaasa region.
