Vaasa once again hosted Energy Week, from March 17-20, 2025, the leading annual event that gathers energy professionals, companies, researchers, and policymakers from across Finland and abroad. Organized in cooperation with regional partners, the event serves as a platform for discussing the latest trends in renewable energy, smart technologies, and sustainable business solutions.
The program featured seminars, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, with strong participation from local universities and research institutions, including the University of Vaasa. The event also attracted numerous energy-sector companies, highlighting Vaasa’s role as a hub for clean technology and innovation.
The Digi-Me Vaasa project team, led by Sniazhana Diduc and Rumy Narayan, used the occasion to promote dialogue on digital competencies for the energy transition. Engaging both students and industry representatives, the team emphasized the importance of future-oriented skills in supporting innovation and competitiveness within the energy sector.
