On July 15, 2025, the Digital Innovation Hub of Tuscany organized a webinar titled “Artificial Intelligence in Life Sciences: Use Cases and Future Prospects.” The DIH is a non-profit association with a regional scope and expertise based at Confindustria Toscana (the Italian Industrial Federation’s Tuscany section) that aims to promote Industry 4.0 technologies in the industrial sector.
The meeting, organized in collaboration with the Pisa Industrial Union, was aimed at industries in the Pisa area and was dedicated to the application of Artificial Intelligence in the pharmaceutical and health technology sectors. The webinar featured contributions from the worlds of research and industry.
Eng. Lucia Billeci, from IFC-CNR, presented the panel, “AI for Personalized Medicine and Wellness.” During her presentation, she discussed several projects from her team, including DIGI-ME. The DIGI-ME project fits perfectly into the theme of the webinar because its personalization framework represents an effort to enhance students’ wellness through the application of AI algorithms.
