Diversity and Equity at Work: Is this the End?

This course examines how diversity and equity in the workplace are at the heart of today’s organizational and social debate. It highlights how, despite meaningful progress (reduced discrimination for people with disabilities, the effectiveness of gender quotas, and greater attention to ethnic representation), significant challenges remain—particularly concerning prejudice and lack of inclusion for the LGBTQI+ community and for transgender and non-binary individuals. Participants will explore how organizations can transform diversity principles into concrete practices, moving beyond slogans and “empty signifiers” toward measurable and shared commitments. Key concepts include diversity merit, collective responsibility, transparent reporting, and political engagement against discrimination. The course introduces an active “BE WOKE” approach: taking a stand, sharing responsibility, valuing concrete efforts, and building equity together. By the end, learners will understand how genuine inclusion creates long-term value for individuals, businesses, and society.
